Exalted, Debilitated and Moolatrikona Signs of Planets :  The places where planets attain their full power are called exalted or Uchcha signs.  The Sun is said to be exalted in Aries, the Moon in Taurus, Mars in Capricorn,             Mercury in Virgo, Jupiter in Cancer, Venus in Pisces and Saturn in Libra.  Exalted planets are considered to be very powerful.  Each planet has a particular degree which is termed as its highest exaltation point.  For example, if the Sun is at 10 degree of Aries in a horoscope, it is considered to be an exalted planet.

            The 7th sign from the exaltation sign of the planet is called its debilitated or Neecha sign.  The debilitation sign for the Sun, for example, is Libra, as it is the 7th sign from Aries and its lowest debilitation point it at 10 degree.  The planet in its debilitated sign is considered to be weak.

            Certain strong positions called Moolatrikonas are similar to those of exaltation.  The Sun’s Moolatrikona is Leo, the Moon’s is Taurus, Mercury’s is Virgo, and so on.

Exalted  :-Gives very good results in it’s Dasa (period).The person gets favour from all and attains a very good position.

Debilitated :-Engenders ill results and some allegations are levelled against the person who is running the Dasa (period) of the debilitated planet.

Own Sign :-When a planet is posited in own House it Gives Good results to the native. If the House occupied happens to be a Kendra or Trikona then the results are extremely good. But if the Houses are other than these then the evilness of these houses gets reduced i.e. of 3rd, 6th , 8th, 12th etc. The various planets in own Houses are as below :-

Sun-Leo. Moon-Cancer. Mars-Aries & Scorpio. Mercury-Gemini & Virgo.

Jupiter-Sagittarius &Pisces. Venus-Taurus & Libra. Saturn -Capricorn &Aquarius.
