The period of Rahu-Sat and Rahu Merc during 1981 to 1985 took him to the heights in politics when he was reckoned as "CHANAKYA" of Indian Politics.The period of Rahu-Ketu saw the change from Chief Minister ship of M.P. which was coincided with 8th house transit of Saturn from the Moon sign Aries in 1985 itself.

He had been an architect of the famous Punjab Accord signed by Rajiv Gandhi & Sant Harchand Singh Longowal which brought him international fame. But due to some conspiracies and disliking by some opponents the accord could not sail through the troubled waters of tension  in Punjab to reach the port of peace.

The period of Rahu-Venus saw him occupying the post of Vice President of AICC(I) during 1986 and then he became the Union Minister of Commerce in 1986 itself.In Nov 1986 he contested the election for Member of Parliament from South Delhi Consistency wherein he came out a winner despite doubts of everybody.

In the year 1988 he occupied the chair of Chief Minister of M.P. in the period of Rahu-Venus only which was also coincided by the exit of Saturn from 8th house from Aries and it entered in Sagittarius Sign which is also the natal sign of Saturn in his horoscope.

But the period of Rahu-Sun which beganin 1988 only compelled him to leave the chair owing to the judgement of High Court in Churhat case. This Sun is debilitated in his horoscope in 5th house and is 8th from the natal Rahu which is placed in 10th house.

The period of Rahu-Mars saw him going for a heart operation.

The period of Jupiter saw him occupying the berth of Union Minister of Human Resources & Development truly representing the chracteristics of Jupiter.
