Amir khan's  LAGAAN has been termed as a cross over film by The Guardian's film reviewer on it's release in England.

Film was entered in prestigious Piazza Grande section of the Locarno Film Festival, where it won the Prix du Public Award(given to the most popular Film) edging out biggies like Planet of The Apes and Bridget Jone's Diary.

In Locarno when the film was being screened a crowd of 6500 French,German and Italian film buffs continuously applauded the film and they got up and started dancing during the Mitwa and Ori chori songs.

Lagaan will now be travelling to Festivals in Toronto,Chicago & Cairo and commercial release in France,Germany,Italy,Finland,Spain,Poland,the Netherlands and Argentina.

Hrithik Roshan;s yadein has not been able to bring the most of Hrithik Karina's pair.Subhash Ghai has just managed to put in shades of Taal,Premnagar,Lamhe etc.The character of karina is confused after  the interval and there is no possessiveness of passion shown before or after the love story originates on screen in the form of confession from karina.

But the movie is a HIT in NEPAL.The audio cassettes are already the top of the charts with fans going crazy & crazy saying that "Hrithik is all time favourite".

And when kathmandu was burning last December karmicastro had earlier in Jan 01 had predicted that Hrithik would stage a comeback in NEPAL.All those who had seen the prediction are better witness.The prediction is available in the folder of HRITHIK.

who is the  biggest competitor of Abhishek Bachchan .Hrithik Roshan? No .Shahrukh khan NO Salman khan No Amir khan No Then you will wonder who it is .It is none else than the strugling star's own FATHER THE BIG Amitabh Bachchan .You or many of the readers won't believe.Let me tell you why?

The image Abhishek Bachchan is carrying with him is no other than that of Amitabh Bachchan.The cinegoers always see the Father's image with him due to the reason that he is still not only  successful    but is on the top of the Cine as well as TV world. He has become a household name. The only way to succeed is to beat the Amitabh's performances of Amitabh in SHOLAY ZANZEER(angry young man) KABHI KABHI (lover)CHUPKE CHUPKE(comedy) MAIN AZAAD HOON(controlled expression).Untill and unless he gets a movie with a performance well scripted to beat the above roles the success would be very difficult.The viewers would remember that Hrithik has no such kind of drawback as Rakesh Roshan had only moderate success long ago in the films and that is also not remembered so that is why Hrithik is not having this situation to face.

Subhash Ghai's two movies Taal and Yadein have proved that he is not a man fully capable of handling Love and Romance as Yash Chopra is.Yadein has a miscast and Taal had been missing the undercurrent of emotions there was no depth of emotions between either Akshay and Aishwarya or between Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor however there is no doubt that Anil Kapoor was the saviour of the movie but to extract the involvement of Indian cinegoers there had to be strong emotional Bond between Anil and Aishwarya before they seperated in the end,In fact in India  Technical gloss of the movie does not matter much.

[Even in India if TITANIC ran it did not because of merely a technically sound , adventurous and thrilling movie but because the undercurrent of emotions increased as the movie rolled on and saw its peak in the end .Even in Sholay the undercurrent of emotional bond between Amitabh and Jaya was very strong.][The producer of AKS may also take a note of it.]

There were two such occasions which have been edited.1st when aishwarya comes to know the refusal/treatment given by Anil to Akshay's family about the ad campaign when she comes to know about the same she could have been shown to have expressed her gratitude and there the deep emotional  bond could have developed.2nd in the end when aishwarya conceals about the letter of akshay from  Anil  kapoor before the song then Anil should have been shown to have learnt about the same which would have substantiated his angerful/meaningful expressions in the song.

Yash chopra could have made "Mohabbatein" a Khir instead of Khichri if he had taken only one pair of young students as lovers.The movie would have been a memorable one along with the performances of Amitabh and Shahrukh khan who missed the Best Actor award due to the khichri factor which diluted the performance and of course some more footage for aishwarya was required.

Sanjay Dutt had a tough time during the making and release of "Khalnayak".The demonstrations were launched outside the cinemahalls where the movie was to be released and when the movie started and Sanjay Dutt appeared on the screen walking  in the prison in chains the public was ecstatic and his entry was welcomed with  a lot of seeties and claps.Never before such a contradiction was noticed a demo outside and welcome inside.
