Vipasha Basu - She has Arrived 

 Bipasha Basu One of the top Indian Models. The dusky beauty is not just about long legs good appearance and fascinating  looks. Loaded with attitude, she knows  what she wants, and has taken off!

This 5'8" light-eyed, Kolkata girl came into the limelight, when she won the Famous Ford Supermodels Contest at the age of 17. She marked her presence into the world of fashion, when she won the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest as well.

A commerce graduate, Bipasha is the second daughter in the family, 
and her pet name is Bonny. She was bold enough to accept an unusual role in her debut films. Bipasha made a good impression with Ajnabee, her debut film. She was an unknown quantity in her film Ajnabee, starring opposite Akshay Kumar. But soon 
Bipasha became familiar to all Bollywood buffs. She also broke the common conviction that models cannot succeed in films, as her predecessors Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen have already proved.

Of course, she was a household name much before she entered films. 
Besides doing innumerable prestigious ads, Bips, as her friends call 
her, did the famous video 'Tu...' for Sonu Nigam's album, Kismat. 
She modelled for the New York based Ford agency for a while, but 
returned after feeling homesick.

Back home, she was inundated with offers from all over. Her 'Close Up Smile' got her many big campaigns. Apart from modelling and acting her other hobbies include dancing, reading and helping her mother with interior designing.

She wanted to become a doctor , but destiny had planned a different destination for her. It happened to be modelling, and now she is virtually full-time into acting. Her next film was Raaz. Starring opposite her real-life boyfriend Dino Moreo, this film clearly showed that Bipasha has a long successful road ahead in Bollywood. She is the star of this millennium.And has already earned huge fan following.

Model turned Actress Bipasha Basu, who is better known as 'Mehbooba', symbolic to her record-breaking song, shares with the viewers Raaz of her success as an actress. She says, "It's great for a model to be an actress because Hindi films offer fame, money and adulation." Though she is not uncomfortable with acting, she finds 
dancing in films very difficult. "I never did that in modelling," 

she adds and then she confides, "Actually, I am scared of dancing."

Chor Machaye Shor was Bipasha's latest film. In this film, she plays the role of a police inspector. "It's fantastic to be working with director David Dhawan.This film was  a thriller mixed with comedy, action and fun." 

Another film starring Bipasha is Aitbaar in which she plays a woman, who is in conflict with two men who she loves, one being her father played by Amitabh Bachchan and the other her lover John Abhraham. "My father in the film is a stern guy, who wants the best for his kid. It's a big thing for me shooting with Amitabh Bachchan. I am still a newcomer and I learn everyday."

How does she react, when she is called sexy? How does she keep men at bay or does she? What does she feel about her boyfriends? Summing up her philosophy of life, she says, "Perception of life doesn't change, if you are successful. It definitely adds more confidence in the way your walk and talk. That's all! It helps projecting yourself in public and expressing yourself on screen. You don't change as a person; you remain the same. Even if a film doesn't do well, I never feel bad. That's because right from the beginning I have made a promise to myself never to expect anything."
